Member Spotlight — Shanna Youngblood

You’ve been coming to ole CFJI for years now and you’ve even purchased your own bus! What keeps you coming back?

Desire to be fit, feel good/energy, and maintain a healthy lifestyle...mostly because I love it!

Having six kids, how do you find the time to get in? Also, your daughter works out with you a lot now at the gym, how has that been to share that with her?

I just do! Its a priority for me, so I make a point to work it out with the family to come in every morning that's possible in a week! Because we homeschool and now that Kayella (our 16 yrold) is working out with me most days, its gotten a little more complicated as to "who's watching the little ones", but were working it out most days!

It's been such a pleasure having her with me at the gym! I love watching her grow stronger and find a little confidence in what she can do physically! It has greatly increased her strength for surfing!

If you had to do 100 reps of one movement (not running), what would it be?

Power Snatch...absolutely love!

What do you like most about your workout crew?

Sense of humor. We are always laughing about something!

What do you like most about CFJI?

I like the workouts are different everyday! And that friends are there to motivate and push you! It also helps that its only about 12 min from my house!

What are 1-2 of your goals for the next year — personal or in the gym?

I would love to be able to lose 30 to 40 lbs. Also, a strict pull-up would be nice ( I'm thinking the 30 lbs might help!). Hoping also to take a 20 yr anniversary trip with my handsome hubby!

Hold on tight, you're about to go for a hell of a ride! Don't give up, Love is waiting for you!

One thing about me people would be surprised to know?

I'll have to go with going to jail twice in my high school years!

If you were to get rid of one state in the U.S., what would it be and why?

Gosh, I really don't have an answer for that one

If the CFJI coaches came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare?

What we call in our house "Greek Chicken". Which now that I think about it, it has nothing "Greek" about it! Ha! maybe its because we use greek yogurt to dip!
